ROTO Pumps

ROTO 'M' Series Pumps
The ROTO 'M' series progressive cavity pumps employ the "Next Generation" improved geometry pumping elements. As this Next Generation geometry, single helix metallic rotor turns inside a double helix elastomeric stator, a series of continuously progressing sealed cavities are created, carrying the fluid from suction to discharge.

In-house manufacture by ROTO of all critical components including both the rotor and stator in an ISO 9001 certified Unit result in total quality control. The precision manufactured rotor and stator offers minimal leakage and longer service life.

Doyle Pump Build:
Roto 'M' Series pump driven by variable speed geared motor on 'lowrider' trolley.

These pumps incorporate a number of other adventures as well - like superior Cardan type universal joints, "extra long life" Taper Roller bearings, user-friendly shaft sealing etc. The superior technology in this pump results in…

  • Substantial reduction in maintenance and power consumption.
  • Higher capacities: Delivers up to 240 m3/hr.
(double what earlier generation pumps could deliver)

  • Higher pressures: Can deliver up to 48 Bar pressure.
(Four times what earlier generation pumps could deliver)

Pumps For Handling 'Difficult” Media
  • Wide throat pumps with Auger are available for handling difficult media.

  • For extremely difficult media, pumps with 'bridge breaker' side paddle that sweeps the media and prevent any bridge formation over the hopper inlet, are offered.

The Cardan Universal Joint Advantage:

The Cardan universal joint employs two sets of bushes and pins, perpendicular to each other, each providing freedom of angular movements in its own plane, while maintaining maximum contact between bush and pin.

The resultant advantages are several, when compared with conventional pin and Bush type of universal joints.

  • Reduction in wear of joint components – leading to much longer service life.
  • Compact pump design as compared to pumps with flexible shaft.
  • Parts needing replacement are few and less costly thus reducing cost of maintenance as well as ensuring ease of operation.
  • Maintenance, fitment or removal of seals becomes easy as the Cardan joint head can be easily removed from drive shaft without dismantling the bearing housing.
  • Reversibility, a vital feature of progressive cavity pumps, is retained without any adverse effect on joints.

ROTO 'D' series Pumps

The ROTO 'D' Series Progressive Cavity Pump is built on the robust field proven 'M' range platform retaining several features such as the Cardan universal joint and improved rotor, stator geometry that ensures a lower life cycle cost. This series is a culmination of ROTO's more than three decades of experience in designing, validating and manufacturing of progressive cavity pumps backed by state-of-art R&D centre and manufacturing infrastructure.

All critical components including rotors and manufactured in-house by ROTO to close tolerances in the ISO 9001 certified manufacturing unit.

From formulation to compound preparation and moulding under strict process control in the captive polymer division not only ensures superior quality of stators but also a high degree of dimensional accuracy and repeatability.

Special Rotor Stator Geometry:
Improved Rotor- Stator geometry minimises wear due to low rubbing velocitie as compared to conventional geometry, particularly useful in abrasive applications. Lower starting torque and effective sealing line improves volumetric efficiency resulting in reduced power consumption.

Pump housing:
Is designed to reduce entry losses and has an easy drainage slope. Suction port can be rotated in four positions at 90 degrees apart.

Stuffing box:
External stuffing box facilitates easy access to lantern ring and other flushing connections required for mechanical seals.

Smarter shaft sealing arrangement:
Easier-than-ever-before dismantling and mounting of seals without the need of disassembling the bearing housing.
Features and benefits:
  • Rotary positive displacement: Uniform non pulsating metered flow proportional to speed.

  • Inherently self priming: Head developed independent of speed. Avoids use of foot valve.

  • Inherently non clogging: Ability to handle entrained any air / gas in fluid. Handles high percentage of suspended solids.

  • Low fluid velocity: Ability to handle shear sensitive products.

  • Reversible: Provides flexibility of operation.
